NEWS: Mariah Carey vs. Nicki Minaj as the pair feud on set of ‘American Idol’
Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have come to blows on the set of American Idol after Minaj allegedly grew tired of Carey’s repeated jabs.
Carey and Minaj, who replace Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler for Idol’s twelfth season, reportedly do not get along – and on Tuesday (2 October), they caused production to cease during an audition.
In a video posted by TMZ, the “Super Bass” singer shouts at Carey: ”I told them, I’m not fuckin’ putting up with her fuckin’ highness over there. Figure it the fuck out.”
Minaj also allegedly threatened to “knock her out,” although this comment was not captured in the video.
The rapper is said to be angered after being called a “bitch” by the “Hero” superstar.

REVIEW: Mariah Carey, “Triumphant”
OK, I’ll be blunt. Mariah Carey’s new single is shit.
I may not historically be Mariah’s biggest fan, but I can give her credit when credit is due. If you want to talk about a real triumph, how about her 2005 comeback album The Emancipation of Mimi?
Since then, Mariah has been free falling. Each subsequent album gets worse, the hit singles lacking and the creativity draining. 2008’s E=MC² only went platinum, compared to Emancipation’s 6xPlatinum, and her last album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel was only certified gold.
At least “Touch My Body” was a number one hit, and “Obsessed” was top ten. If Mariah Carey is hoping for a number one hit with this album, she may need to look elsewhere, because “Triumphant” will not be that hit.
The song aims for the same R&B crossover appeal as the aforementioned songs, something that has worked well for Mariah in the past, but the song doesn’t really cater to any current pop or R&B trends.
That’s not always a bad thing – unfortunately, “Triumphant” is largely forgettable, and guest verses from Rick Ross and Meek Mill are unnecessary.

NEWS: Girl power! Xtina pleased for Britney and Mariah
Christina Aguilera is pleased that Britney Spears and Mariah Carey have joined her in accepting roles as reality television judges.
“It’s actually cool that these strong women are joining the club and they’re going to have fun,” Aguilera told Extra.
“Britney’s so talented,” she said of her fellow Mouseketeer alum. “I mean, she’s a pro. She’s been at it for a number of years now. We did grow up together, basically.”
When it comes to Mariah Carey, who has joined American Idol, Christina didn’t let any past resentment get in the way: ”I just found out last night. The news is fresh.”
“You know, I love that,” she said. “All these artists are coming together from all the experience that we’ve had and we’re being able to take that and feed this new wave of talent coming up.”
The “Beautiful” singer appears as a coach on The Voice, while Britney Spears will make her debut on The X Factor USA this fall.
Xtina will be accompanied by Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong as her team mentor.
I don’t care who’s a judge as long as it’s not me
